GEZ Rail Solutions Inc. visits the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering
Pittsburgh – July 2026
GEZ Rail Solutions Inc. had the opportunity to visit the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering and engage in insightful discussions with Chris Ann Frankovic and Alicia Olalde.
Our conversations focused on how we can provide students with practical insights into the rail industry and the work of GEZ. The first step in this collaboration is already planned for this summer. We also discussed potential design and laboratory projects aimed at developing future joint engineering initiatives and hands-on technical challenges for students. A special thank you goes to Brent Rondon for initiating these discussions and supporting the first steps of this collaboration.
It was also a great honor for me to serve as a judge at the Swanson School of Engineering Design Expo, where I had the opportunity to experience the impressive projects, innovative ideas, and technical solutions presented by the students. Experiences like these highlight the importance of strong partnerships between industry, research, and education.
For GEZ Rail Solutions Inc., this marks another important step toward establishing a long-term presence in Pittsburgh and introducing young talent to the rail industry at an early stage.
