Göteborgs Spårvägar – Lighting System for the M32 Tram Fleet

GEZ Rail Solutions GmbH, together with its partner Rolfsen & Son, was selected through a public tender process to equip the M32 tram fleet of Göteborgs Spårvägar with modern LED lighting systems.

The fleet comprises more than 60 AnsaldoBreda rail vehicles of the Sirio series and will be sustainably upgraded through this retrofit to ensure safe and reliable operation for the next 20 years.   A key component of the contract was a test installation, which was successfully carried out by a GEZ service team to the complete satisfaction of the customer. Following acceptance by the end customer, series deliveries were able to commence just a few weeks later.  

In addition, as part of the project GEZ developed an innovative, easy-to-install retrofit wiring harness. This enables plug-and-play installation, significantly reduces installation effort, and at the same time helps to maximize vehicle availability.
